Kesari
Kesari is a typical sweet Tamil Nadu recipe in which the main ingredients are semolina and sugar. This is very easy to prepare and it is commonly taken as a breakfast dish. Let's try!

Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Semolina
- 1 litre Milk
- 1 kg Sugar
- 250 g Ghee
- 25 g Cashew nuts
- 1 pinch Cardamom powder
- 1 drop Food colour (yellow)
- 25 g Raisins
Instructions
- Roast cashew nuts and raisins in 1 tbsp of ghee and keep aside.
- Roast semolina in a frying pan in a medium flame.
- Transfer the roasted semolina into a heavy bottomed vessel and add sugar and milk. Boil the contents well with constant stirring.
- When it becomes thick, add the remaining ghee and stir well continuously for 10 minutes.
- When the mixture appears to be sticking out from the sides of the vessel, add roasted cashew nuts, raisins and cardamom powder into the mixture and put off the flame.
- Kesari is now ready to serve. Try it! It’s so delicious! Don’t forget to have it with filter coffee!
