Spicy Prawn Roast Recipe
Prawn Roast of Chemmen Roast Recipe is the simple kerala style recipe. It is easier enough and simple receipe for preparing Prawn. There is step by step pictures too included to describe the procedures, correctly and to be in order. The prawn recipe is simple enough that even a person starting the cooking experiements can make the same without any hassle.
The total preparation time is around 20 minutes only and you need to clean the prawns before that or you may need to add additional time for the cleaning of prawns. In kerala, if some money if offered to the fisher women, they will easily clean the fish that we buy, and that's is how people like me escape from cleaning the fish. Any way, I had my mom to assist me for this preparation.

Ingredients
- a handful of Prawns, Cleaned
- half cup coconut bites
- handful of small onion, sliced
- 1 tspoon Chilli powder
- 1 tspoon corainder powder
- 1 tspoon garam masala powder and turmeric powder
- as needed salt
- as needed Curry leafs
- 2 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 tspoon mustard seed
- 2-3 Tamarind( kudampuli)
Prawn Roast
- Clean prawns & wash it with running water
- add salt and Tamarind(kudampuli) with prawn and boil it to cook the same
- cook until there is little water
- prawns turns light pink color when cooked
- get Small onion - a handful of sliced
- take Slice coconut flakes
- heat oil and add mustard seeds to splutter and add sliced onion 2 in number
- later add coconut bites and curry leaves
- once coconut bites turns brown, add onion
- Once they turn brown, add masala powder and water
- mix it well to cook the powder
- now add prawns, mix the same well and now the prawn roast is ready
