Kurkuri Bhindi / Crispy Okra
From Kids to adults bhindi (okra) is loved by all. Bhindi has its own lovely flavor that becomes even more tasty when it is cooked with some spices. Crispy okra is a dish served in north Indian restaurants as a popular side dish.
Quick and easy to make, this recipe acts as a star performer in any party. Besides being tasty, this dish has a lovely look too making it even more presentable

- Half Kg Bhindi (okra/lady's finger)
- 1 cup curd
- 4 tbsp Besan (chickpea flour/gram flour)
- 2 tbsp Chaat Masala
- 1 tsp red chilli powder, optional
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp Amchur (dry mango powder), optional
- 2 tsp (as per taste is better) salt
- 2 cup oil, for frying
Get Set Go
- Thoroughly wash okra and dry it completely so get off any water
- Chop the head of okra and slit them length wise into four parts
- Take a big plate and spread okra in it to start adding spices to it
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, amchur powder, lemon, gram flour, curd, chaat masala, and salt
- Mix the masalas and curd thoroughly with okra and make sure okras dont break while mixing
- leave the okras to marinate for around half an hour
- Take a pan, fill it with oil and place it over high flame
- When oil heats, decrease the flame and add okra by batches and fry till they turn crispy and brown
