3 Best And Easy Lamb Chop Recipes
I've already shared different variants of many recipes for many occasions: tuna sandwich recipe for breakfast, ham salad recipe and chicken quesadilla recipe for snack, even borscht recipe (for those in love with Russian or Ukrainian cuisine), but I haven't delved into second courses, especially meat dishes yet. Today I'm going to correct this. This hub will be dedicated to lamb chops and here I will share 3 best and easy lamb chop recipes I've tried so far.
Lamb Chop Recipes. #1 - Really Easy
Cook Time
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (600-700g) of lamb chop meat
- 1 onion
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Place chops on aluminium foil.
- Slice onion and place over the meat. Wrap the aluminium foil.
- Place everything in the oven heated to 355 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degree Celsius) for 1-1.5 hours.
- Garnish lamb chops with parsley, dill and marinated onions. Enjoy!
Lamb Chop Recipes. #2 - Stewed In Its Own Juice
Cook Time
Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 2 hours
Ready in: 2 hours 5 min
Ingredients
- 1 lbs (500g) of lamb chop meat
- 4 onions
- oil
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Slice onion. I usually slice it long and thin, but you can also chop it, then it'll melt and won't feel at all.
- Pour some oil in a pan with thick bottom, and place lamb chop meat and onion there. Cover with the lead and leave on medium fire for 15 minutes. This will be enough for the lamb and onion to produce some juice.
- In 15 minutes add some salt (just a little bit, so that it feels a bit insufficient).
- Cover with the lid and leave on slow fire for 1.5-2 hours. Don't open and don't stir!
- In the very end, try for salt (the liquid), add salt and pepper if necessary.
- You can serve it with any side, but I usually prefer rice. The only disadvantage - it's better to eat it right away, as once lamb starts cooling, it covers with some fatty film (though my husband likes it cold... so it really depends on your taste...)
Lamb Chop Recipes. #3 - With Wine And Soy Sauce
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (600-700g) of lamb chop meat
- 2 potatoes
- 1 onion
- 1/2 of lemon
- marjoram
- black pepper
- hot red pepper
- 1/3 of glass of dry red wine
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- flat bread (lavash, pita, tortillas etc.)
Cook Time
Prep time: 15 min
Cook time: 2 hours 20 minutes
Ready in: 2 hours 35 min
Instructions
- Prepare aluminium foil and place a layer of lamb fat on it. Place sliced potatoes on top (thick round slices).
- On top of that add marjoram, onion, sliced lemon, place lamb chop meat, add salt and pepper.
- If you have more lamb meat (in addition to your chops), you can make another layer by placing it on top and repeating marjoram, onion, lemon, salt and pepper on top of it.
- Pour everything with wine and soy sauce and cover with flat bread on top (you can use lavash, tortillas, pitas, any bread which is flat).
- Wrap everything into the aluminium foil and place into the oven.
- Cook for 2 hours in an oven heated to 480 F (250 C), then leave on 285 F (140C) for 20 minutes.
