Low sodium recipe # 1. Broccoli cheddar soup

Ingredients:

  • Onion - 1/2
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Flour - 1/4 cup
  • Half and half or milk - 2 cups
  • Chicken stock - 2 cups
  • Broccoli - 1/2 lb
  • Carrot - grated 1 cup
  • Cheddar cheese - 8 ounce
  • Nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Broccoli cheddar soup recipe:

Add butter and saute the onions. Add flour and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir in half and half and chicken stock and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes. Now add broccoli, carrots and onions and cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Finally, add salt, pepper, cheese and nutmug. Delicious broccoli cheddar soup is ready for kids. Low sodium recipe # 2. Apple banana oatmeal


Ingredients:

  • Orange juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Apple - 1/2 cup chopped
  • Banana - 1/4 cup sliced
  • Ground cinnamon - 1/8 teaspoon
  • Raisins - 1/4 cup
  • Oats - 2/3 cup
  • Oat bran - 1/3 cup

How to make apple banana oatmeal: In a medium sauce pan, add water, orange juice, apple, banana, raisins, cinnamon. Bring to boil and add oats and oat bran. Cook for 2 minutes. Your apple banana oatmeal is ready to eat.
