Mario’s Pizza Restaurant – A Restaurant Review
MARIO'S PIZZA RESTAURANT REVIEW
Pizza is definitely a food that my family enjoys having now and then. I have made homemade pizza but we will also occasionally order a pizza for delivery or go to a pizzeria restaurant for a takeout or dine-in pizzeria restaurant order. Mario's pizza restaurant is one of the pizza places we have tried.
After many years of living in Greensboro, North Carolina, we ordered Italian food from the much talked about local eatery, Mario’s Pizza for the first time just earlier today, at lunch time.
Our family was pleased with our food purchases from Mario’s Pizza in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Even though we ordered only one small, 10 inch pizza from Mario's Pizza in Greensboro, North Carolina, we received three Mario's pizza boxes because other items such as cheese bread and stromboli were packed in pizza boxes at the restaurant as well. (We did not dine-in at the restaurant. We ate our food from Mario’s Pizza at home.)
In this first food order from Mario’s Pizza, we bought
Mario's Pizza Restaurant food order
For this restaurant review, I'll list the foods that we actually tried. These are the food items that we ordered from Mario's Pizza Restaurant.:
- a round white pizza (made with ricotta cheese and no tomato sauce) that was ten inches in diameter for $9.25. We did not get any additional toppings such as pepperoni, sausage, or beef on this pizza.
- A round foil pan containing three meatballs, in tomato sauce for $2.95
- Garlic knots, advertised by Mario's Pizza Restaurant as costing $1.50 for three but we were given four garlic knots instead for the $1.50 and that was a pleasant little surprise. I especially enjoyed the garlic knots.
- A stromboli containing steak, sausage and cheese. When the Mario’s Pizza menu states that you can select your “toppings” for the stromboli, it really means the filling for the stromboli. When you open the pizza box containing the stromboli, you will find the baked dough. When you cut the baked dough open, it is filled with the “toppings” that you selected and you will be able to select up to three of them for the cost of $8.25. While we chose steak, sausage and cheese for our stromboli, there are many other toppings that you can choose from including chicken.
- Cheesy bread for $4.25 (bread topped with melted slices of mozzarella cheese.
The cheesy bread from Mario's Pizza Restaurant was okay. (At home, bread with melted cheddar cheese is something that I usually make quite often for my family. It is a favorite thing to eat for one of my sons.)
- One slice of lemon mascarpone cake for $2.75
Mario’s Pizza Restaurant
The amount of money spent on our food order from Mario’s Pizza restaurant was a total of around $40. We received lots of very filling foods. The food really warmed the kids’ bellies and was very filling for them.
The food from Mario's Pizza restaurant was received hot. Some was eaten for lunch and some of the food will be eaten for dinner.
We can definitely see ourselves ordering from Mario’s Pizza restaurant sometime again in the future. We can also keep our next order down to around $20 or $25 and still get a very filling amount of food. Next time, we will probably get a larger size pizza (New York Style) and not much else. That will surely cut down the cost and still be very satisfying.
Mario’s Pizza restaurant menu is quite extensive with lots of items to choose from. Items from the menu that we did not buy included calzones, salads, many more varieties of pizza, pasta dishes including homemade lasagna and more.
If you are in the local area of Greensboro, North Carolina, you will probably enjoy the experience of placing a food order from Mario’s Pizza restaurant sometime.
