Milk Shakes and Spring Time

Updated on April 22, 2015

What's Your First Thought For Spring Time Food ?

With all the ice cream stands opening up now in the spring, it's hard not to let you mind and taste buds go towards ice cream. Sure, you can buy ice cream all year round in the grocery stores, but there is something about the ice cream stands and parlors that makes you know that the ice cream is made ever so fresh.

My hub is going to be a simple one, but I just couldn't resist reminding you of the simplest of desserts or beverages; milk shakes.

Vanilla Milkshakes and Granddaughters Just Go Together

This is my 7 year old granddaughter who is enjoying a vanilla milkshake after school. Milkshakes are full of calcium and if you add fresh fruits like strawberries or bananas or blueberries, they are packed with Vitamin C and other nutrients.

For this reason, I don't have a problem with home made milkshakes for my family. Making your own, you can control the amount of sugar or other ingredients.

I hope you are or will enjoy a home made milkshake soon.

Spring Flowers

Another beautiful part of spring is the flowers that come alive. After a long cold snowy winter, the vibrant colors make you actually feel happy. I hope you enjoy some of my spring flowers that grow around my yard. Not unusual, but still colorful and pretty.
