Favorite No Bake Cookies Recipe

No Bake Cookies are one of my all-time favorite cookie recipes. I have loved no bake cookies since I was little. They were served once a week at school for lunch. It was the only time I ate everything on my cafeteria tray.

The no bake cookies recipe I remember had a hint of peanut butter in them. I searched for years for the recipe. Too bad the internet wasn't around then! I finally found a no bake cookies recipe containing peanut butter. After a little tweaking, I have what I believe to be the best no bake cookies recipe ever. Here it is.

Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Cookies Recipe

Stir sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Let boil for 60 seconds and remove from heat immediately. If using an electric stove, remove the pot from the burner even after it is turned off. Be certain to boil for an entire minute.

Add the rest of the no bake cookies ingredients. Mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto wax paper. Let harden. Enjoy!

No Bake Cookies Recipe Ingredients- Makes About 2 Dozen Cookies

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

stick of butter

4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

1/4 cup peanut butter- smooth or crunchy, your preference

2 1/2 cups quick oats

We made these cookies growing up all the time. However, I haven't been able to get the recipe to work for me here in Texas. I think the humidity might be part of it. I'll give yours a try.

If you are a no bake cookies fan you may want to check out the cookbook called appropriately No-Bake cookies by Camilla Saulsbury. It is a little paperback filled with 150 of the most creative no-bake cookies I have ever seen. I discovered it at the library and have been having fun whipping up 'cookies' without having to turn on the oven!
