Ingredients
For the crust:
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup semolina
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- 1 1/2 tablespoons oil
- 1/4 cup water, or as required
- salt, as per taste
For the filling:
- 1 cup onion, chopped thinly
- 1/3 cup flattened rice
- 1/2 teaspoon green chili
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili
- 1 teaspoon chat masala
- salt, as per taste
Instructions
For the crust
- Take a bowl to add whole wheat flour, semolina, carom seeds, salt, oil.
- Mix it together then and water to form a medium soft dough.
- Keep aside for rest (10 minutes)
Filling
- Take another bowl to add thinly chopped onion, flattened rice, green chilies, red chili powder, chat masala, and salt as per taste.
- Mix everything and keep aside.
Method
- Take a frying pan, add oil for deep frying on medium heat flame.
- Take a tiny low portion from the dough(make tiny samosas), roll it into an oval shape, cut it into two.
- Apply little water on the edges and make a cone, add the filling required and seal the remaining side with little water.
- Do an equivalent with the remaining portion.
- Now fry the samosas within the oil till golden brown. you'll enjoy the samosas with fried green chilies and green chutney.
Tip
- While making the dough you'll add hot oil for more crispiness.
- Fry samosas on medium-low heat permanently crust.
