Pork Chops cooked in a Delicious Orange Sauce

I love crock pot cooking. It is easy to prepare and requires very little supervision during the cooking process. I love how I can throw some ingredients into the crock pot and stir occasionally, then a few hours later, supper is ready. Voila! This recipe uses porkchops cooked in an orange juice base. It is absolutely spectacular. I usually serve the porkchops with rice and put a little of the orange sauce on top of the rice. Green beans and broccoli also go well with the porkchops and rice.

Cook Time

Prep time: 20 min
Cook time: 6 hours
Ready in: 6 hours 20 min
Yields: 6 Servings

  • 1 6 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 boneless porkchops, 1 inch thick

  1. Combine all the ingredients (except pork chops) in the crock pot and stir well.
  2. Add the chops and be sure to coat both sides.
  3. Cover with the lid and cook for 6 to 8 hours on low. This can also be cooked on high for about 3 hours if you have time constraints. Enjoy!

I have never done porkchops in a slow cooker. I will have to give it a try.
