Pancakes Made Easy Your Kids Will Love

Updated on December 4, 2011

Everyone seems to be on-the-go and not always able to fix a big breakfast. I discovered pancakes are a quick, easy, and hot breakfast for those with a busy lifestyle. It's simple to make and easy to clean up......and your kids will love it! You will only find three variations in this hub. However, let your imagination wander, and you will be amazed at the different variations you can create.

I enjoy homemade pancakes just as much as the rest of the world. When you have an on-the-go lifestyle, it's sometimes difficult to always make homemade. That's why I always keep a few containers of Bisquick pancake mix in my cabinet.

I heat a non-stick skillet on medium heat for a few minutes, while I shake the container. Once the pancake mixture is thoroughly mixed, I pour it into the skillet. You can make the pancakes as large or small as you like. I usually choose to make a small to medium-sized pancake. Once the pancake starts to bubble throughout, then I flip it to cook on the other side. Once both sides are lightly golden brown, you're ready for the creative part of making it an enjoyment for your kids.

My husband is included in the big kid category in our house. He likes his pancakes with grape or strawberry jelly. I prefer the pancakes with peanut butter and syrup. My youngest son likes his with Nutella and syrup. I do believe he would eat Nutella on just about anything. I had to start buying the economy-size jar, because he was going through the small jars so quickly.

There are so many different ways to create fun food for your family. If you want to add some fresh fruit, for example strawberries or blueberries, and then top it with whip cream. Or you can make different sized pancakes, and shape it to look like Mickey Mouse. It's family fun for you and your kids to make and enjoy!

Hope you have as much fun as we have in creating your own style of pancakes with quick, easy family fun-time!

You're right...I haven't heard of lemon juice and sugar. Not a big fan of lemon juice....but I may have to try it. Thanks for stopping by to take a read of my hub and taking the time to comment.

Mmm. I've been thinking of pancakes because it's "Pancake Day" next Tuesday here in the UK - I don't think you have it in the States in the same way. The most traditional way to have it here is with lemon juice and sugar. Yum.

Yes The-BestMouseTrap, bisquick pancakes are good. I do love homemade, but bisquick is the next best thing to them. Bisquick is fast, easy and convenient. Thanks for the vote up and useful.

I have not tried the Bisquick shake-and-go jug yet, but will do so now. Typically we do pancakes only on the weekend, but your idea should work for us before school as well. Thanks!
