Peanut Chutney Preparation

Peanut Chutney can be a good accompaniment with Rice or South Indian dishes like Dosa and Idli. It can be used in Sandwich as well. This is a Recipe which can be prepared fast. Given below are the ingredients and method of preperation of this Cutney.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Roasted Peanuts
  • 1 Medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind Puree
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt

Method of Preparation of Peanut Chutney

Heat Oil in a Kadai and sauté Onions till golden brown. Add the peanuts, salt, cumin powder and red chili powder and stir fry for 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow cooling. Once cool run all the ingredients in a mixer and make a fine paste. Do a seasoning with mustard seeds and dried red chillies. Add water if necessary. Serve with Rice, Dosa or Idli.
