Great Thai Cuisine in an Intimate Setting
My wife and I have now visited Pearl's on three or four occasions. We are impressed with the fact that not only is this Thai restaurant consistently good, but they continue to improve with each visit.
Pearl Cafe is a very small, modernly-designed restaurant that provides an intimate dining experience. Unlike some of the ubiquitous, small-chain ethnic restaurants that come and go at ever-increasing frequency, Pearl's doesn't pander to usual American tastes. They keep to true Thai flavor traditions; the curries are hot; the soups are pungent; all dishes are aromatic and full of flavor.
The lengthy menu includes appetizers, soups, salads, noodle dishes, fried rice, stir-fries, curries, and specialties. The restaurant offers several beverage options, including Thai and Vietnamese-style coffees, teas, and bubble teas. They also have a full wall of bottled beers.
The service is laid-back and friendly. As we typically go to lunch later than most diners (working in food service your entire life habituates you to eating late), we have been reminded on our last two visits that the restaurant closes for lunch at 2:30. We felt we've been perhaps a bit rushed due to this. We still enjoy the service though and look forward to future visits.
