Pearl Spot Fish Fry (Karimeen Fry)

Ingredients:

  1. Kashmiri Red Chili powder: 1Tsp
  2. Pearl Spot Fish – 250gms
  3. Oil for shallow fry.
  4. Very small onions: 5
  5. Mustard seeds: ¼ Tsp.
  6. Cinnamon: 1 piece.
  7. Clove:1
  8. Ginger: 1 inch piece.
  9. Garlic: 3 cloves.
  10. Turmeric Powder: ½ Tsp.
  11. Pepper Powder: 1 Tsp.
  12. Lemon Juice: Juice of one lemon.
  13. Salt to taste.

Method:

  1. Take the fish and wash and clean it thoroughly.
  2. Now wash it with vinegar.
  3. On the surface of the skin make gashes with the sharp knife.
  4. In a bowl mix all the spices and salt.
  5. Now a paste would form.
  6. Coat the fish with this paste from all sides.
  7. Cover the bowl and set aside for 30 minutes so fish absorb all the taste and aromas of these spices.
  8. In a pan, heat the oil.
  9. Shallow fry the fish in oil, turning over from time to time.
  10. Serve hot with rice or as a side dish.

      I like the taste of pearl spot fish though came from fresh the meat is so tasty,This recipe is new to me. Though fairly expensive here in my country i will definitely try ur recipe.
