Poor Mans Breakfast Fruity Oatmeal Pancakes Under 5 Dollars

How can you go wrong making a delicious and inexpensive breakfast such as this, the whole family will love it. Having a great breakfast like this will help get your day started right. However lets not go broke over breakfast so here is an under $5 recipe.

Yields: Serves as many as needed

Ingredients

  • Oatmeal packets, Flavoring of your choice
  • Pancake Mix
  1. Follow mix instructions on Pancake box for water to mix ratio as to how much you want to make.
  2. For every 3-4 pancakes you will make add one packet of Oatmeal of choice.
  3. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Begin cooking by pouring to the size you would like on a hot griddle. Cook til bottom side is firm. Flip and cook other side til its nice and fluffy yet firm. The inside middle should be nice and fluffy and not doughy.
  5. Stack and Serve.

All Under $5

You can get these ingredients through Amazon posted above. At just under 24 cents per pack of oatmeal and 3.49 for the mix means you just feed 4 people 4 pancakes at $4.45 cents. Alternatively you can go to Wal-Mart and buy individual just add water pancake mix packets for roughly 50 cents, and a generic 12 pack of variety oatmeal for about $2.

      What a great idea! Mom used to make oatmeal pancakes for us growing up. I like the idea of adding fruity flavored instant oatmeal packs. Thanks for sharing this easy and inexpensive way to make a good breakfast.
