Potstickers and Sauerkraut
Potstickers and Sauerkraut
Like a Mock Hotdish
I had been looking up recipes for a sauerkraut Hotdish, and then, I cooked the potstickers instead.
Put the potstickers in the pan, add oil and water, and stir to coat. Put heat on medium and close the lid. They will steam up and the noodles will become, well, noodly. Meaning, when you put them in the pan, they look like unbaked pie crust, and end up looking all soft and wrinkly.
Then you uncover the pan and keep frying them until the water cooks out the noodles should be stuck to the pan. Like they are almost burnt, but they are a rusty color.
Then, you loosen them from the pan, and flip them over, brown side up. Add the sauerkraut, add three pats of butter, and cook covered until the butter had melted and the sauerkraut is warm.
Then eat.
