Recipe - Baked Apples
Everybody knows that baked apples are delicious. So, why don't I tell you how to make them? You can really use any variety of apple for this recipe; just experiment and see what you like.
- sugar, honey, or syrup
- dates or sultanas
- Wash the apples and then core them. To do this, slit the skin with a sharp knife, making a ring round the middle.
- Place apples on a baking tray or in an ovenproof dish with a little water.
- Fill the centres with sugar, honey, or syrup. Add dates or sultanas if you like them.
- Place the tray or dish in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake until tender. The time will vary according to the size and type of apple you're using.
