High In Vitamin C

A cabbage recipe

Expressed in poetry

A winning healthy meal

With a taste for your zeal

Try it if you would like

With a soft spunk and spike

Veganism has the taste

That you should dare to waste

It is better for your body

And your taste buds

Tried a meal on buddy Toddy

Tasted so well he busted suds

When a food is so delicious

And good for you too

Don’t be superstitious

But luck is blessing you

Cabbage is a vegetable

Full of excellent nutrition

Keep it coming to the table

It heals aches and pain and is good ammunition

It’s a tender mellow green

Save the juice or freeze it

This recipe is keen

Use Olive Oil to please it

The juice is good to drink

to suppress any cold

It is better than you may think

It's worth its cost of gold

The taste can’t be described

Try with an opened mind

Vegan cabbage is so alive

With a taste that’s hard to find.

Btw, I posted the Bragg Liquids Aminos on the cabbage hub. Also, it can be purchased at any health food store.

Hi oldies, I'm glad your pot of cabbage tasted good. I'm going to feature the Braggs Liquid Aminos on the hub now that you've mentioned it because soy sauce has MSG in it, I believe. I want you to taste the uniqueness of vegan cabbage. I'll do another recipe soon :-)

Hi @word55.. I followed your recipe but without the Braggs Liquid Aminos (first time to see the name of the product so I researched it). So I used soy sauce instead in its place. My own pot of cabbage was good. Sometimes I'd partner this with bread, or a cup of rice (just the right amount.. I'm on a diet hehehe). From you I learned that cabbage is rich in Vitamin C, I thought that it's all water.

Thanks for imparting your recipe. It was good although mine obviously lacked the ingredient I mentioned above... will cook it again. Hoping for some more of your healthy cooking-cum-inspirational poems. :)

Yes oldies, I need to take the time to do more recipes. I notice that they score quite high here so lookout for some in the future. Let me know if you ever try this recipe. Glad you liked the poetry too :-)

Lately I've been eating vegetables, I love cabbages. And it's rainy season here in our place so it's a perfect comfort food. I could add some spice to have some more kick.

I like your presentation here.. your recipe hub is interspersed with your lovely verses. A delicious cabbage soup deserves words of praise indeed. :)
