Restaurant Review for Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill, a restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina
Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill is a restaurant that is located at 3900 Battleground Avenue in Greensboro, North Carolina. Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill is a Mexican Restaurant that my family and I recently visited for the first time. We found Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill restaurant to be impressive in many ways.
- We especially like the interior design of Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill restaurant.
- The decorations and complementary colors at Blue Agave Mexican Bar and Grill restaurant are very nice.
- Several wall paintings are used on the walls. Pretty and live green plants line the rows of table booths at Blue Agave.
- Coordinating with the name of the Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill, the color blue is prominent throughout the décor of the Mexican restaurant.
- Even the nice quality cloth napkins on the tables are a navy blue color. The utensils, knife and fork for each person is rolled into a pretty navy blue cloth napkin.
There are many different little unique touches at this restaurant, Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill.
- As the photographs included in this hub illustrate, the green plants are a very elegant touch to the Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill restaurant design.
- The upholstery for the table booths feature blue and green colors.
- The salt and pepper shakers have the Corona beer logo on them.
- Corona is a very popular beer served at Mexican restaurants.
- The complimentary nachos and salsa that are brought to the table do not taste very salty at all so, as you might desire, salt can be sprinkled on top of the nachos and possibly other foods that are brought to the table. I added a little salt to my nacho chips but not to anything else that I ate at the restaurant.
The dishes that we chose to indulge in on this recent trip to Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill were:
- the pork carnitas, a very popular dish that is typically on the menu at Mexican restaurants and
- the enchiladas supreme entrée that included a bean enchilada, chicken enchilada, beef enchilada and cheese enchilada topped with sour cream and green salsa verde. The menu price of the enchiladas supreme dish is $9.95.
I enjoy eating green salsa verde and a bowl of green salsa verde was also served with the pork carnitas. Rice, pico de gallo, and soft flour tortillas were served with the pork carnitas dish. The pork carnitas entrée costs $12.95 at Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill. Having had some of both the enchiladas supreme and the pork carnitas entrees, I did enjoy the pork carnitas entrée more.
We found Blue Agave Mexican Restaurant to be very impressive in many ways.

The outdoor seating area at Blue Agave Mexican Bar and Grill
There was adequate outdoor patio seating available at Blue Agave Mexican Restaurant but the weather was not good on the day that we visited the restaurant and we saw no one choosing to sit outdoors.

Cheesecake chimichanga for dessert a Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill
We shared up the two dishes described above for all of us and we really enjoyed everything. The two children also had an order of french fries for each of them. The current cost of an order of fries at Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill is $1.99. The french fries are served up fresh and very hot with generous helpings of ketchup in little individual containers and the kids have to be warned to let the fries cool a little bit before they start nibbling on them.
We kept things pretty simple on this outing to a restaurant. We did not indulge in any fancy beverages on this recent trip to Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill. We only drank water and that was fine for us. For the kids, the water was served in disposable cups that happened to have the Pepsi (soda) logo on them.
Additionally, when we dine out, we will often either forego dessert altogether or select just one dessert item and share it up for all of us. On this particular day, with our recent trip to Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill, we enjoyed all of our main entrée food a lot and for dessert, we did select only one dessert item to share. The item that we chose was the cheesecake chimichanga. It was very good.
I have written quite a few restaurant reviews recently and quite a few Mexican restaurant reviews especially. The dessert item that we had been buying most often at various Mexican restaurants was the fried ice cream that we really enjoy a lot. Nevertheless, on this day, we decided to purchase cheesecake chimichanga instead and it was very enjoyable. A photo of what the cheesecake chimichanga dessert looks like is included in this hub. The cheesecake chimichanga was also served with rich and delicious vanilla ice cream.
The food item that we chose for dessert at Blue Agave Mexican Restaurant was the cheesecake chimichanga.
Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill has a very nice looking seating area with pretty decor and gentle, not glaring lighting
Utensils were wrapped in pretty navy blue cloth napkins, a nice touch
There is an assortment of wall paintings adorning the wall at the restaurant
The nacho chips and salsa dip at Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill were fresh and good tasting
In summary,
All of the food was very satisfying and we finished the meal with a sweet and satisfying treat.
In summary, the prices of the foods on the menu at this Mexican restaurant, Blue Agave, is comparable to the prices of the foods on the menus of most of the Mexican restaurants in Greensboro, North Carolina. You can buy a very good, tasty entrée ranging in price from around $9.95 for $15.95. We saw some very hot sizzling and tasty looking fajitas being served up at nearby table, for example. The atmosphere and ambience at Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill is very pleasant from the lighting to the décor. It is quite charming and the restaurant’s interior is even nicer than most of the Mexican restaurants that we have recently visited.
Although we did not sit outside when we visited the restaurant, I have gone ahead and enclosed a photo of what the outdoor patio seating looks like at Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill. The outdoor patio seating seems quite nice with large table umbrellas to put up as shade from the sun. We were at the restaurant on a pretty overcast, cloudy day with a strong wind. I would not say that the restaurant was crowded by any means but it was not near empty, with quite a few diners occupying table booths near to where we were seated. We did not see anyone choosing to sit outside on the patio during the time that we were there, a Sunday afternoon with windy weather and more severe weather including rain expected later on that day.
All of the food was very satisfying and we finished the meal with a sweet treat.
