Restaurant Review of Bender’s Tavern in Greensboro, North Carolina

Bender’s Tavern has awesome food. While Bender’s Tavern is located near to where I live, I just tried the food from Bender’s Tavern for the very first time just last night. The food was really good. The food from Bender's Tavern was delicious and enjoyable. Bender’s Tavern is located on West Market Street in Greensboro, North Carolina.

1. My favorite food item in my food order from Bender’s Tavern was the grilled shrimp. You might know from some of my other hubs on HubPages that I am pretty wild about seafood. I enjoy cooking shrimp at home also.
2. At Bender’s Tavern, you can choose the grilled shrimp or the fried shrimp. I chose the grilled shrimp this time.
3. You can also choose your preferred seasoning. I chose the garlic parmesan seasoning but another option for seasoning could have been the Cajun seasoning for example.

The other food items that my family ate from Bender’s Tavern last night include the funnel cake fries at a cost of $4.50. I was pleasantly surprised to see funnel cake fries on the Bender’s Tavern menu because I do enjoy funnel cake, the popular carnival food. The funnel cake fries from Bender’s Tavern were very tasty. I was a little surprised that the kids like the french fries so much more than the funnel cake fries but I really liked the funnel cake fries a lot. My sons’ favorite food item from Bender’s Tavern was the regular french fries and don’t forget the ketchup. They just love ketchup.

We also selected the fried dough pizza that would be prepared with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese but as it turns out, Bender’s Tavern was all out of the fried dough pizza last night and we had to make a substitute selection on the food menu.

We ended up getting two burger entrees, one with onion petals as the side dish and the other with fries.

• I really enjoy the blooming onion that is served at Outback Steakhouse. I thought that perhaps the onion petals at Bender’s Tavern might be a bit like a “blooming onion”. As it turns out, the onion petals were not quite like that but they were still very good.
• I am also enclosing a food photo of what the onion petals looks like. If you enjoy battered onion rings or the blooming onion, you will enjoy the onion petals from Bender’s Tavern.

While it was not a lot of food that we ordered from Bender’s Tavern, we enjoyed sharing everything up and eating the delicious meal last night. The burger entrees costs around $5.50 each so we spent around $22 on Bender’s Tavern food.

We asked for the beef burgers to be prepared medium well and they were very tasty. One of the burgers was called the black and bleu burger and it was topped with bleu cheese, very tasty.

The other burger had bacon on it. The black and bleu burger was served on a traditional burger bun and the other burger was served on white toast. That was a bit unexpected and could have been another substitution because the food supplies were running low but it tasted great nevertheless and we did not mind. The burger that was served on toast was already cut in half and we cut the burger that was served on a burger bun in half as well.

The plastic bag containing our to-go order contained a few packages of ketchup and some nice big white napkins. We unanimously enjoyed our experience eating food from Bender’s Tavern and our family is likely to order food from Bender’s Tavern again in the future.

I can see us ordering what we got over again or trying some new items.

In summary we would enjoy the following items and more from Bender’s Tavern.:

• Grilled shrimp
• Funnel cake fries
• Fried dough pizza
• Great burgers with onion petals or french fries

We love trying the food from restaurants that we have not tried before and the food from Bender’s Tavern did not disappoint. It was a good discovery for us. The prices at Bender’s Tavern are good and fair. The food was tasty and eaten while still very hot since the location of Bender’s Tavern is in such close proximity to our home. It was a hot and delicious meal.
