Talking about salt and pepper shakers, we may be reminded of the rule that comes with it. As commonly practiced, we put salt and pepper to shakers according to the number of holes. Salt and pepper can be put either by following the salt and pepper rule using numbers of holes or not but you should strictly follow it when putting it on tables inside your restaurants.

Will you believe me if I say that some users of salt and pepper shakers do otherwise? They put pepper in shakers with more holes because they believe that peppers have bigger sizes and so they need more holes while salts are tinier and lesser holes will do. The user just needs to shake more according to their taste.

Anyway, it is up to you to decide what to do best according to your preferences. I am just pointing out that not all users of salt and pepper shakers follow the same rule.
