The beauty of seafood, often goes unnoticed due to the scales and beady eyes, lol. But seafood is very versatile. Like Chicken and beef there are so many great recipes to be created!
Appetizers, side dishes, casseroles and much much more! Being from the east coast seafood is always on the weekly menu. Sometimes it's fun to shake it up a bit. Salmon on our salad, shrimp on your pasta, haddock in mushroom sauce. So here are a few family favorites!! Enjoy!

Tasty Tuna Bites
Tasty Tuna Bites, 0 Points
Ingredients
1 Can (5 oz) white tuna ( chunky or flaked )
1 green onion ( finely chopped )
celery salt ( sprinkle )
garlic powder ( sprinkle )
Directions
1) Drain Tuna. In a bowl mix tuna, green onion, spices and miricale whip.
2) Place a slice of cucumber on each cracker
3) Top with tuna mix
4) Finish with a piece of fresh dill
Makes up to 15 pieces

Scotian Seafood Dip
Ingredients
- 4 Ounces Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 Cup Sour Cream
- 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
- 2 Green Onions, Finely Chopped
- 2 Tbsp Celery, Finely Chopped
- 1 Tsp Fresh Dill, Finely Chopped
- 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 7oz Can Salmon, Drained
- Pinch Salt & Pepper
Instructions
- Blend together cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice and lemon peel.
- Stir in remaining ingredients and season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Chill for 20 minutes before serving.
Maple Glazed Salmon
Maple Glazed Salmon
Makes 4 servings
Prep time 10 min Broiling 8 min
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Tsp Dry Mustard
2 Cloves Garlic, thinly sliced
2-4 Salmon Steaks or debonned Fillets
Directions:
1) In a small bowl mix honey, syrup, brown sugar, garlic, & dry mustard until thick but creamy.
2) Remove skin from salmon, rinse & pat dry, place on a greased baking sheet
3) Broil fish on high heat for 5-7 minutes, flip and cover with honey glaze
4) Broil for another 5 minutes or until top is flaky & bubbling
