Simple Snickerdoodle Recipe
A Snickerdoodle is a cookie that is made with flour, sugar, butter that is rolled in cinnamon sugar. Some recipes use eggs, cream of tartar, baking soda, and fruit. This cookie can be soft or crisp depending on the ingredients that you use. I hope you like this recipe as much as I do.
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. After it is mixed thoroughly, add the eggs and mix. After this, add the flour mixture a little at a time. Mix thoroughly.
- In a bowl, combine and mix together the cinnamon and the 1/2 cup of sugar.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll the dough into balls and then roll the balls into the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Place the balls on an ungreased cookie sheet at least three inches apart. Bake for 10 minutes then place on a cookie rack to cool.
