The Perfect Soft Boiled Egg with Soldiers Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Medium Free-Range Eggs
2 Slices of Whole Wheat Bread
Softened Butter
Salt, seasoning for taste
Directions:
Half-fill a saucepan with water and turn the stove top to medium/high heat. Using a safety pin, break a small hole at the bottom of each egg. Once the water comes to a boil, using a slotted spoon, carefully drop the eggs into the water . Cook over low heat, 4 to 5 minutes; drain. ( 5 minutes is your happy mark. This will ensure you have a perfectly soft boiled egg with a runny yolk.
When the eggs are finished place them into a bowl of cold water to simmer for 30 seconds. Carefully remove the eggs. Add the eggs to an egg holder or a shot glass. Using a knife, delicately breakaway the top portion of the egg shell. (Optionial: Top egg with salt, and garlic powder. I prefer Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel Seasoning.)
Add two slices of bread to the toaster. Toast until golden brown, coat with butter and cut into sticks . Serve and enjoy :)
