  • Pork - 1 kg
  • Liver - 1/2 kg
  • Chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 spoons
  • Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar - 1/4 cup
  • Green chillies - 4, chopped
  • Coconut feni - 4 tablespoons
  • Onions - 3
  • Tomatoes - 1
  • Oil - 1/2 cup
  • Cloves - 3
  • Cardamom pods - 2

How to make sorpotel goan recipe:

Clean and wash the pork meats. Put the meat in a pan with 4 cups of water. Cover with a lid and cook for about 20 minutes. Take the meat from the pan, cool, and dice the meats fine. Keep aside the water. Heat oil in the pan, add cloves, cardamom, onions and stir fry for about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the diced meats and stir fry until it turns light brown in color. Now add chilli powder, pepper, turmeric powder, cumin powder, tomato and fry for about 7 to 10 minutes. Now add coconut feni, green chillies, reserved liquids from the meat, and vinegar and mix well. Cook for about 1 hour on a medium heat until the meat is tender. You can serve sorpotel goan with steamed rice or bread.
