Many different types of dishes are made with canned tomatoes, including many different types of stew, soup and sauce. If you frequently used canned tomatoes when you cook, you’ll likely be very excited to discover the Dei Fratelli line of tomato products.

About Dei Fratelli Tomatoes

If you’ve done much cooking with canned tomatoes, you know that the quality of the brand that you choose can have a huge impact on the taste of the finished product. Several factors impact what canned tomatoes taste like, including how quickly they are processed after harvest and how ripe they are when they are picked. The way that tomatoes are seasoned when being processed also impacts how they taste in finished dishes.

Local Sourcing for Optimal Freshness

Dei Fratelli acquires its tomatoes from growers who are located within twenty miles of its plant facilities. Because of this, Dei Fratelli tomato products are prepared with freshly harvested fruit that can stay on the vine until reaching its peak. Most tomatoes used in Dei Fratelli product are processed less than ten hours after they are harvested. The result is in an unparalleled fresh flavor that makes your favorite tomato-based recipes more delicious than you would have thought possible.

Seasoned Flavor Varieties from Dei Fratelli

Dei Fratelli tomatoes are available on many different seasoned flavor varieties in addition to original whole, diced and petite tomatoes, as well as low-sodium and no-salt varieties. No matter what kind of recipe you’d like to prepare, there’s sure to be an option that’s perfect for you.

Options include:

  • Chili Ready Diced Tomatoes: Just add cooked meat and beans for perfect chili flavor in just ten minutes

  • Chopped Italian Tomatoes: Take the guesswork out of preparing Italian dishes; this variety features the perfect blend of tomatoes, olive oil, basil, rosemary, parsley, onions and garlic

  • Chopped Mexican Tomatoes and Jalapenos: Prepare your favorite Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes with tomatoes seasoned with cilantro and jalapeno peppers
  • Chopped Tomatoes with Onion and Garlic: Rather than adding onion and garlic to your favorite soup and stew recipes, just use tomatoes that are perfectly seasoned with both

  • Stewed Tomatoes: Prepare your favorite recipes with tomatoes stewed with a combination of onion, celery and peppers; Select Petite Diced Tomatoes with Onion, Celery and Peppers for a more finely chopped tomato with stewed flavor

  • Seasoned Diced Tomatoes: Celery, garlic, onions and peppers are the flavoring agents behind this tasty variety.

Enjoy Dei Fratelli Tomatoes

If you’ve not tried Dei Fratelli tomatoes before, you are in for a real treat if you decide to do so.

Note: Thanks to Dei Fratelli for providing me with product samples to try.

I like to use the whole Dei Fratelli tomatoes to make tomato sauce when I don't have any tomatoes growing in my garden.

Susan - I am not sure. Online orders are available on Amazon and on the company's website, but I am not sure if they can ship to Canada. The company's site says to call 1-877-LYCOPENE to find out about where the products are available.

Have never seen or heard of this brand. Do you know if they sell these in Canada?
