Yields: serves four people


  • 06-07 Big green chilies
  • 05 teaspoon Gram flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fennel seeds powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric power
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 5 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Carom seeds

  1. Wash big green chilies and dry it by cloth, then cut a slit in length wise on all chilies.
  2. Now add 1 teaspoon oil to frying pan and after heating up of oil add 5 teaspoon gram floor, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon fennel seed powder, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds and 1 pinch of asafoetida and stirring it well and remove until flour becomes light brown in color.
  3. After removing it from frying pan , add some water and make dough of material to make stuffing.
  4. Fill the prepared stuffing in green chilies.
  5. Add 4 teaspoon oil in frying pan and place stuffed chilies for ten to twenty minutes on low flame ,fry it until green chilies turns in brown color, then remove it and serve hot with bread or chapatis.
  6. You may also bake the stuffed chilies if you do not want to fry them.
