The Health Benefits Of Juicing - A Great Way To Lose Weight

Updated on February 8, 2012

Juicing is Super Healthy

You may have heard about juicing before. Its one of the most nourishing and nutritious ways to get all the vitamins and nutrients from fruits and vegetables, in fact many pregnant women are encouraged to do juicing during pregnancy and its definitely a great thing to include with any diet. I recently became interested in making my own juices because I learned how good juicing is for your body, especially with detox diets. In fact, you would be surprised how much better juice tastes when you are juicing it yourself. Its much better than what you could find in the stores.

A Great Documentary About The Health Benefits of Juicing

There was a movie documentary that taught me a lot about the Health benefits of juicing and maybe you've heard of it, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" is a story about a man that is very unhealthy, overweight and dealing with repetitive illness. The documentary evaluates his diet and shows him just how unhealthy his eating habits actually are. Then they revise his diet to be mostly raw foods and lots of juicing. Amazingly enough, the documentary shows that he was no longer ill, he lost weight and he looked completely transformed when it comes to his health appearance. This is just one example of how juicing is so good for your body. Your body immediately benefits from the nutrients, your heart is healthier, and you are having a potent drink with more vitamins than a typical meal. Best of all, there is hardly any fat or calories in the juice drinks that you are creating on your own.

Things You Should Know About Juicing

If you are interested in buying a juicer I would recommend that you look for a "Hurom slow juicer". I have done a lot of research on juicers and I've learned that it is important to have a slow juicer in order to maximize the amount of juice that you get per fruit, and slow juicers preserve more nutrients than the fast juicers because they juice out the nutrients slowly. As far as I know, Hurom is the only company that makes a slow juicer and the Hurom slow juicer has been renowned as one of the best juicers you can get for your money.
