Whole Wheat Pancakes

Yields: serves 4 people 3 pancakes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • cooking spray, (optional..may use vegetable oil, butter, margarine, coconut oil, etc to grease pan)
  • 2 cups + 2 tablespoons milk

Step 1: Mix Dry Ingredients

The key to perfectly mixed pancakes is all about how you do it.

First, mix all the dry ingredients together in a separate mixing bowl

Flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon,

set aside

Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients

Next, Mix wet ingredients together. Eggs, milk, vanilla, melted Butter

Combine & Mix

Step 3

Pour Wet Ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

If the batter seems too thick, add a splash of milk to thin it out.

Step 4

Heat Skillet or pan on medium heat.

Spray/Coat with cooking spray or oil

Once pan is hot add pancake batter using a 1/4 measuring cup. (This makes perfectly sized pancakes!)

You will know it is time to flip pancakes when bubbles appear all over the pancake and begin to pop!
