Preparation of Almond Milk Recipe

Almond milk is delicious and healthy drink. This drink is also known as Badam Milk. As you already may know the main ingredients of this drink are almonds and milk. If you did not know already let me tell you that Almonds are rich in manganese, selenium and Vitamin E.

How to prepare Almond Milk? Given below are the ingredients and method of preparation of almond milk drink.

Ingredients of Almond Milk

  • 2 Cups of Almonds
  • 2 Cups of Pistachios
  • 8 Cups of Milk
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 4 tsp Sugar or Sugar Substitute
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • 1 pinch of salt

Method of Preparation of Almond Milk

Soak the almonds and pistachios overnight in around six cups of water. In the morning, drain the water off and peel the outer skin of the almonds and pistachios. Puree the almonds and pistachios in a blender or food processor into a very fine paste by using some milk. Heat the milk in a milk pan and add this almond and pistachio paste. Also add cardamom powder and sugar and bring the milk into half. Remove from heat and allow cooling. Once cool put one pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon rose water and allow it to chill in the refrigerator. Serve cool.

Note: If you want the Almond Milk or Badam Milk thin you may add more milk or water.

    Nice tip (you use pistachios) I will try it to see what it tastes of. I was using to do the Almond milk only with almonds. Thanks
