Amazing coffee with the Keurig K65 Gourmet Coffee maker

Updated on September 9, 2014

Ok, I admit it, I NEED my coffee in the morning. Before I found the Keurig K65 I was wasting half a pot a day because it got to cold, or it did not brew in time before I left for work... one reason or another I was wasting coffee and my time. My husband bought this for me and it has revolutionized my morning coffee experience!

It is very simple to use. There is a chamber on the left to store water in... fill it up and you can get about 8 large cups of coffee before you need to refill it. Turn it on.. wait about 30 seconds for it to warm up, lift the lid and put in your favorite coffee flavor. Select from one of three coffee cup sizes ( 6 oz, 8 oz, or 10oz) and you are brewing! In about a minute you have a perfect cup of hot coffee! There is a water filter built into the water reservoir that can be changed every couple of months. That's really it on maintenance.

This unit has a couple of nice features... It is programmable for the time of day. You can choose a time to turn on and warm up, and a time to turn off. Picking a time to turn on means you walk up to a pre heated machine and drop in your K-Cup... and have your coffee ready in less than a minute!

Did I mention my favorite flavor? Do you realize there are hundreds of "K-Cup" flavors? That's what they are called...K-Cups. The small plastic container of your selected coffee flavor. They can be had in small boxes of 16 or large bulk packs. They also have a good variety of sampler packs to choose from. I would suggest these to start with as they give you a good cross section of flavor choices to experiment with. They not only have coffee, but tea and hot chocolate are also among the choices.

  • Economical
  • Easy to use
  • A great cup of coffee in less than a minute

I would love to win so that I can give myself a much nedeed boost when taking my kids to their extra curricular activities, while shuttling them to school, and working and keeping the house cleaned, all while waiting for my husband to come home from a deployment, lol.

Sam, I'm not typically a big coffee drinker, but for the past couple of years since my husband and I received a small Keurig machine as a Christmas gift I've been enjoying a fresh cup more often. I haven't tried that many flavors since we're still working our way through the big box of Donut Shop K-cups that were part of our gift, but its mild flavor and low acidity suit me fine for now. Your Keurig model is fancier than ours, and I really like the idea of the programmable timer. Very nice!
