   Hard to explain but once you taste and become addicted to the durian fruit (as most people have!), its pungent smell magically changes into an incredible pleasant aroma - a strong resemblance to coffee, vanilla, or caramel as some durian lovers have said.  So, for beginners, just pinch your nose and take the first bite!

   Hey there!
   
   You may try Durian sponge cake first as Durian sponge cake just use the Durian extract only. Light Durian smell and that will be the good start for you. Try to have it more than once and you should be able to get use to it easily. Fried Durian ice-cream will help too. I would say to get use to the flavor, you may try it in a small portion just to get use to the smell. Hope this will help. Let me know if this will help then I will add this on my blog!!! HehE!
