There is much to love about bananas. A banana is a fun fruit that's very appealing. Bananas are tasty and they come in their own tidy package. It's a fruit that appeals to people of all ages.
Bananas are as versatile to eat as they are when applied to art and design. Over the years this fun fruit has influenced taste buds and the idea of taste in general.

Banana - Fun Fruit to Harvest
Apple Bananas from our backyard.
Banana plants are often referred to as banana trees. In our backyard, we have the smaller variety of apple banana plants. They produce the sweetest fruit and are very highly desired here in the islands. Harvesting is commonly done using a machete.

Banana - Fun Fruit to Grow
It takes approximately 9 to 12 months for the young banana plant to produce mature, sweet tasting bananas. The mature banana plant needs to be cut down after harvesting the fruit as each banana plant only produces one stem of bananas, but it is quickly replaced by the young shoots produced from the main plant. And the cycle repeats itself.
