Chocolate Cake is a common dessert cake served at many gatherings such as birthday parties and weddings,that contains chocolate cake. There are many different types of chocolate cake depending on the alteration of the ingredients and chocolate flavoring. The intensity of chocolate is a leading factor in chocolate cakes, especially for devil's food cake. The versatility of chocolate cake has made it a favorite in many homes.

Chocolate cake is the basis for many desserts and traditional cakes. A traditional American approach is either a chocolate or vanilla frosting like butter cream. Professional chefs and home bakers alike have experimented with adapting the chocolate cake to unique flavors.

Many bakers will use vanilla extracts liqueurs or flavored liquids like coffee to bring out different properties in the chocolate flavor. Spices are also used in chocolate cakes traditional approaches to chocolate cake are stil popular,making it a classic dessert.

Chocolate cake is a simple fairly easy chocolate cake recipe. I LOVE THIS CAKE.


1/3 cup(80 ml) vegetable oil

2 ounces(55 gm) unsweetened chocolate

1 or 1/2 cup to taste sugar

1 egg

1 1/4 cup(300 gm) whole wheat flour

1/2 tbsp salt

1/2 tbsp baking soda

1/2 tbsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup(180 ml) water

3/4 cup(180 gm) semi-sweet chocolate pieces (such as chocolate chips)

1/2 cup(120 gm) chopped nuts

4 ounces(115 gm) cream cheese or sour cream(optinal)


1:- Put the oil and chocolate in an 8in (20cm) square pan and set it in 350°F (180°C) oven just until the chocolate melts. (Add sour cream or cream cheese if desired.)

2:- Add remaining ingredients, except chocolate chips and nuts, to the pan.

3:- Beat with fork untill smooth and creamy (about 2 minutes).

4:- Scrape the side of the pan, and spread the batter evenly in the pan.

5:- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Optionally, cut the chocolate chips and nuts into the batter to some extent.

6:- Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean.

7:- Cool in pan; eat hot or cooled.


MICROWAVE CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE :- Here is an easy recipe for

yummy chocolate cake!


Ingredients :-

165 gm refined flour (maida)

2 tsp baking powder

110 gm chocolate, grated

130 gm butter

150 gm castor sugar (caster sugar)

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

1/2 tsp vanilla essence


1:- Sieve together refined flour and baking powder.

2:- Take grated chocolate and butter in a microwave bowl and melt in a microwave oven on MEDIUM (70%) for one minute.

3:- Stir the mixture and add castor sugar and stir again to mix well.

4:- Add the sieved flour and mix well.

5:- Add milk and mix to get a pouring consistency.

6:- Add chopped walnuts and vanilla essence.

7:- Pour the batter into a greased microwave dish and level the surface.

8:- Bake in the microwave oven at HIGH (100%) for five minutes. Check for doneness.

9:- If not done bake for one more minute at MEDIUM (70%).

10:- If baking in a convection oven preheat the oven at 180C and then bake the cake for twenty five to thirty minutes.
