Cobbler - Mixed Fruit with Strawberry Cake Glops and Jello
I used a glass baking dish. Placed my three fruits in the dish. Melted half a stick of butter in a measuring cup in the microwave.
Sprinkled package of jello across the fruit, then drizzled my melted butter evenly over the jello.
Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 pint blueberries
- 1 pint blackberries
- 1 pint strawberries
- 1 box jello
- 1/2 stick butter
Fruit in baking dish. Sprinkle dry jello on fruit. (No additional sugar)
Drizzle melted butter on fruit.
Mix eggs, oil and cake mix and drop by spoonful across top of fruit.
Bake 50 minutes at 350. Cake mix will turn golden brown.
While I'm dripping the tiny bit of oil into my bowl, I'm assembling my pile of fruit. The blueberries are first. Then the blackberries.
Then, wash the strawberries, cut off the green ends and cut the remainder into four slices. Place evenly across the blackberries.
At this point, I was multi tasking. Melting the butter. Pouring the jello powder across the fruit. Pouring the melted butter across the fruit.
Now, mix the cake mix into the eggs and oil. Drop by spoonfuls randomly across top of fruit.
I covered the dish initially, then removed the cover so cookie batter could brown.
350 degrees fahrenheit for 50 minutes, until top is golden brown.
