I love decorating cupcakes and cakes for special occasions. I especially enjoy decorating unique cupcakes and original cake designs. I have published several cake and cupcake decorating tutorials right here on Hubpages and I am thrilled to be able to share my cake and cupcake decorating instructions with you!

You will be amazed how how easy these adorable Panda cupcakes are to create.

All you need are baked cupcakes, Oreo cookies, miniature marshmallows, chocolate chips, chocolate Cheerio cereal, frosting and a small tube of black decorating gel.

Decorating these cupcakes is a lot of fun and they are always a hit at any party, but especially for children's birthday parties.

The Horse cupcakes are a bit more difficult than the Panda cupcakes above. They require more time and patience, but they are loved just as much, or more than any other cupcake I have ever created.

This specialty kitty cat cake is actually easier to construct than it may look!

By cutting two standard round cakes into pieces, using the provided template, you can easily recreate this pretty kitty.

As you can see, I made a white coconut kitty cake, but you can make this cake with any cake/color combination! Even a beautiful black cat for Halloween!

Since I absolutely love flowers, it seems only reasonable that I would want to make a floral design cake.

I discovered a tier cake pan that actually makes it easy to make a filled tier cake. After I baked the cake, I decorated it with marshmallow flowers.

Building these Snowman Cupcakes is almost as much fun as building a real snowman and a whole lot warmer.

After you assemble the basic snowman cupcake, there are tons of ways to decorate and finish your snowman cupcake. They can easily become the most "original" cupcake you will ever create.

When I wrote this article, I used a variety of candy pieces to decorate the face and added a "scarf" to each one. The scarf is great way to hide the neck where the cupcakes are joined.

Halloween cupcakes are all about having fun with the classic Halloween images like bats, witches and ghosts.

I used tasty Devil's food cupcakes that did not require frosting for many of these cupcakes. With a bit of confectioners sugar, we had awesome decorated Halloween cupcakes.

This Is The Perfect Cake to Allow Children to Help Make!

We love Halloween in our home and I have always enjoyed designing creations that my children could help me make.

This past year, my son not only helped me create a Halloween cake, but he helped design it. This cake truly was the result of a fun collaboration between Sylvestermouse & Son. I have no idea how many walls we tore down, literally and figuratively, before we finished.

In our community, many of the schools and churches host a Harvest Festival.

Stenciled Cake Design

Stenciling is also a fast and easy way to decorate a cake!

I whipped this cake together quickly for a party in a little less than 2 hrs. total time.

Not only was it delicious, but the Bat Cake was perfect for the Halloween party.

Since I started writing for Squidoo, I have gotten in the habit of photographing the process every time I make a new cupcake or cake. It seems I am constantly experimenting or dreaming up new ways to decorate cakes and cupcakes.
