different types of tasty and healthy rice recipes
tasty rice!
Rice i think cant be eaten alone if its plain but if you mix rice with chicken,meat or egg,it becomes biryani, one of the most tasty food in earth!!!Sometimes when i don't want to cook much,i just make biryani,in this way i have two things in one dish(the meat and rice) saves time and also brings variation in taste. Flavored rice are tasty and very easy to cook.Given below are some different types of rice recipes which are easy to cook and tasty too!!!There are some recipes which i have not tried yet,so i am copying their links.
Brinjal rice recipe/Eggplant rice recipe-This spicy recipe is made with eggplants,curry leaves and mustard seeds.A complete meal!

Curd Rice
- 2tsp oil
- green chili-as per taste
- chana dal*-1tsp
- urad dal*-1tsp
- mustard seeds-1tsp
- boiled rice-1 cup
- Yogurt plain - 2 cups
- ginger garlic paste-1tsp
- coriander leaves-1 bunch
- salt-1/2 tsp
how to cook:-
- heat oil
- put mustard seeds
- add chanadaal and uraddal when the mustard seed starts popping,stir
- add coriander leaves and ginger garlic paste,saute
- add rice,mix well
- add salt,mix again
- put off the heat,add yogurt,mix well.Curd rice is ready.

Tomato rice
ingrediants:-
- rice-1 cup washed and soaked for 15 minutes
- salt-to taste
- garam masala(available at any indian grocery store)-1tsp
- tomato puree-made from 2 large tomatoes
- red chili powder-1tsp
- black cardamon-1 big
- oil-2tsp
- water-2 cup
how to cook-
- heat oil in pan
- add cardamon followed with tomato puree,stir
- add salt,garam masala and red chili powder,mix well
- add rice,mix well
- pour water and cover pan till rice is done.
- serve hot.

Rice Khichdi recipe-When i was a kid,this dish was cooked every saturday.This dish is full of nutrition and quiet easy.
ingredients-
- cloves-5
- oil-4tsp
- salt-to taste
- curry leaves-3-4(optional)
- ginger garlic paste-1.5 tsp
- coriander leaves- bunch
- mint leaves-4-5(optional)
- chili-4-5
- tomatoes-3-4(small)
- cinnamon-1
- cardamon-5
- onions-2 medium
- rice-2 cup
- toor dal(available at any Indian store) 1 cup
how to cook
- cook washed dal with turmeric and keep aside,do not throw the dal water
- heat oil in pan
- put cloves,cinnamon and cardamon
- after a minute,put onions,sliced in small pieces,cook till golden brown
- add coriander leaves(not all),curry leaves and mint leaves
- add ginger garlic paste,salt and mix well
- let it cook for 2-3 minutes
- add tomatoes,mix
- add rice,fry for 2 minutes
- add dal,mix well and add water
- now add dal water
- cook till rice is done
- serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
Spinach rice recipe- a very healthy dish made with spinach,rice,garam masala and onions

Onion rice-quick and easy tangy rice with onions and lemon
ingredients:-
- rice-cooked 2 cups
- salt-to taste
- coriander-a bunch
- chili-2-4
- onion-1 medium sliced
- oil-2tsp
- mustard seed-1/4 tsp
- ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
- pepper-as per taste
- lemon juice-2 tsp
how to cook:-
- heat oil
- put mustard seeds,chili
- when the mustard starts spurting,add ginger garlic paste
- fry for 1 minute
- add onions,fry till they are golden brown
- add salt and pepper
- add rice,mix well
- add lemon juice
- mix well
- serve hot garnished with coriander.
