Easy Pizza Dough From Your Bread Machine

Making your own pizza dough at home is too easy, particularly if you put your BREAD MACHINE to work for you. On this page, find the simple instructions and the recipe for making pizza dough at home. You'll love the ease, the economy and the taste.

Unfortunately, I am not sure where this recipe originated. It has been a little notation on the bottom of my page of bread machine recipes for many years.

Once you see how easy it is to throw together your own pizza dough you will want to make Friday night pizza night. That is, HOMEMADE pizza night.

Click here to order this pizza poster from Amazon.

Cook Time

Prep Time: 5 minutes throwing the ingredients into the pan

Total Time: As long as your dough cycle runs, plus the 5 minutes to put it together

Serves: 1-4 hungry people

  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 3 1/4 cups flour or 2 cups white flour & 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 2 1/4 tsp bread machine yeast

  1. Place the ingredients in the bread machine pan, starting with the wet ingredients, building with the dry ingredients and ending with the yeast. Select the dough button on your bread machine and press start.
  2. When your bread machine has finished processing the dough, remove the dough and place it on a floured surface. Divide it in two and roll the pieces into a round that will, more or less, cover your pizza pan. My pizza pans are always greased.
  3. Note that this recipe makes enough pizza dough for TWO pizzas.

Panasonic's Best Bread Machine - A bread machine is a critical ingredient for this recipe!

The Panasonic SD-YD250 bread machine is a best-selling bread machine, it receives very good Amazon customer reviews and the price is right. These three factors make it a TOP-RATED choice, in my books.

It will do everything you expect your bread machine to do. It will mix, knead, rise and bake your bread in three different sizes. It will deploy one of various settings for different types of bread and it it will do so with a timer. And it will do so very nicely indeed.

I don't have a bread machine, but I'm interested in one, especially since my kids love home made pizza. Thanks for the idea!

I wonder if our flour in Kuwait would work.. because it doesn't work with normal bread recipes. :( Blessed!

I used to make pizza dough in my bread machine, too, but haven't done so in a number of years. It was easy and wonderfully homemade-delicious! Guess I should consider replacing my bread machine. We do love a good pizza.

I've never made pizza dough at all. Probably a skill I should learn and sounds like bread machine pizza dough would be easy.
