5 stars from 1 rating of Red Lobster Style Drop Biscuits

Although Red Lobster uses Bisquick to make those deliciously cheesy and garlic-y bread that we all know and love, I hate having to buy Bisquick for one recipe and I like making everything from scratch as much as possible. These are super quick and super easy. PLUS! Everyone absolutely LOVES them! I always have to make extra! They disappear QUICKLY! :)

Cook Time

Prep time: 8 min
Cook time: 12 min
Ready in: 20 min
Yields: 9 biscuits with a size 16 (1/4 cup volume) scoop

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. First, preheat your oven to 425* F. Mix butter, dried parsley flakes, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and a pinch of salt together in a small bowl. Set aside for brushing.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, and shredded cheese in a large bowl with a fork.
  3. Gradually add milk and oil at the same time to the flour mixture. Mix it all in with a fork until the dough willingly leaves the sides of the bowl.
  4. Scoop and drop 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden on the top.
  5. Immediately brush the butter and parsley mixture heavily all over the biscuits! Yum! Enjoy!
