Red Lobster Style Drop Biscuits w/o Bisquick
Rate my Recipe
Although Red Lobster uses Bisquick to make those deliciously cheesy and garlic-y bread that we all know and love, I hate having to buy Bisquick for one recipe and I like making everything from scratch as much as possible. These are super quick and super easy. PLUS! Everyone absolutely LOVES them! I always have to make extra! They disappear QUICKLY! :)
Cook Time
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of Salt
- 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
- 1 Tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- First, preheat your oven to 425* F. Mix butter, dried parsley flakes, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and a pinch of salt together in a small bowl. Set aside for brushing.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, and shredded cheese in a large bowl with a fork.
- Gradually add milk and oil at the same time to the flour mixture. Mix it all in with a fork until the dough willingly leaves the sides of the bowl.
- Scoop and drop 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden on the top.
- Immediately brush the butter and parsley mixture heavily all over the biscuits! Yum! Enjoy!
