Yields: 24 slices of cake

Chocolate Fudge Cake Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Bake a box chocolate cake as directed.
  2. Step 2: While hot from the oven, poke holes over entire cake with a fork.
  3. Step 3: While the cake is cooking prepare the fudge sauce.
  4. Step 4: For the fudge sauce: In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, cocoa and cream.
  5. Step 5: Stir over medium heat until a full boil starts.
  6. Step 6: Cook at a full boil for 2 minutes.
  7. Step 7: Stir in vanilla. Pour while hot over warm cake.
  8. Step 8: Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  9. Step 9: Serve alone or with ice-cream.
