Easy Snickers Salad Recipe
I know what your thinking, who in their right mind would want to eat Snickers on a salad? I know that is what I thought the first time I ran across this recipe, but don't let the name fool you, this recipe is definitely a dessert and a mighty tasty one at that. It may be better understood if it was called Snickers Fruit Salad, but that isn't the name that caught on, so we are stuck with the enigma that is this tasty dessert. My family loves when I make this dessert and it's everyone's favorite request when I'm invited to parties and potlucks. Sometimes, I think I am only invited because the hosts wants my recipe. The best part about this dessert is that it is extremely easy to make!
Ingredients
- 1 12 oz. container of Cool Whip
- 1 Box of vanilla instant pudding
- 6 Snickers candy bars
- 4 -6 Granny Smith or other hard, sour apples
Instructions
- Add entire Cool Whip container to a large mixing bowl
- Add one box of Jello instant pudding to the Cool Whip
- Stir till blended well
- Cut 4-6 Granny Smith apples into bite size pieces (I like small slices)
- Cut 6 Snickers candy bars into bite size pieces (I freeze my Snickers candy bars first to make them easier to cut)
- Add apples and snickers to large bowl and stir
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving
