Ingredients
1. Ash guard - ½ kg
2. Ghee - 50g
3. Sugar - 300g
4. Milk - ¼ litre
5. Cardamom powder - one pinch
6. Cashew nuts or Almond(Chopped) - 50g
Preparation and Cooking
1. Cut ash guard into small pieces and cook them in a pressure cooker, 2 whistles are enough.
2. Grind them into a fine paste.
3. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed frying pan, add cardamom powder and mix.
4. Add the paste to the pan, then add milk and sugar into it and mix well.
5. Put the flame in medium mode and stir the contents well for 10-15 minutes.
6. When the mixture appears to be stick out from the sides of the pan, put off the flame.
7. Then transfer the entire mixture (halwa) to a dried vessel coated with ghee and decorate it with cashew nuts or almonds.
8. Let it cool and set, cut into small pieces and serve.
