I'm a published food writer, how will HubPages help my career?
The web is an amazing place - the one thing that will happen, assuming you write decent hubs and present them well is that you'll get traffic to your hub. If you have published books for sale on the web then you can add links to them and get some sales.
As for your career - well the more hubs you right, connected to a decent blog then you'll get a following - if you get a big enough following then you become one of the 'bloggin' elite and people start listening to what you say - now as you have a niche, you can concentrate on food etc and eventually may become very influential - it takes a huge amount of work and dedication but can be done. You have the advantage that you are already a professional writer - most on hubpages aren't.
My suggestion is to take a look at some of the best hubs on here and see how they format - using headings, pictures etc...
wow thats great to hear that you are published. Then hubpages can be a great place to get traffic.
Also you can earn from hubpages.

I'm very timid when it comes to change if the change is not one of my own choosing, even if it is good change. Moving to HubPages was an upsetting experience for me, mainly because I felt the place we moved from would find a way to mess it up or that HP would treat us like illegal aliens.Only...
