Are rhubarb leaves deadly to eat?
I heard they can make you sick if you eat them. Is it true you can only eat the rhubarb stalks?
It's believed that oxalates contained in the leaves of Rhubarb cause a mild poisoning affect when consumed. They can make you sick and should be removed from the stalks immediately. Rhubarb leaves can be used to make a great natural pesticide to fight against leaf eating pests because of these compounds.
Look it up in an encyclopaedia or on google, I'm sure you will get a more authorative answer there tha#n from a bunch of amateurs on here.
