    This is how I do it - use a little cooking oil and a sprinkle of salt, using paper kitchen towel or some greaseproof paper rub the salt and oil all over the pan and then heat the pan until it is very hot. Wipe clean with a paper towel and allow to cool, your pan should then be ready to use and non-stick.
    Do this each time after washing to keep your pan in good condition.

    To add to the above comment. I did something very similar with my cast iron but I generally don't wash my iron skillets. I either wipe them clean or use a rubber scraper for anything that won't come off with just a paper towel. You should NEVER use soap on your iron skillet.  Using water is ok & will still keep it seasoned, just remember to dry it good so it won't rust. smile
