Is there a particular packaged food or beverage that you wish would return to its original formula?
In 2008, Hershey's stopped using cocoa butter in some of its brands. They are not alone, many snack foods are no loner made with the original ingredients that gave them their distinctive flavor. Some use less salt, some substitute corn syrup for sugar. The reasons range from health concerns to lowering production costs. Even though the flavor may be similar, even though it may pass focus group testing, is their an original flavor that you truly miss?
I don't know, it'd be hard to pick just one because there are so many products with degraded quality out there today, it isn't even funny. Many of these products, I also wish would return to their original size, as well. Like the customer doesn't notice... I'd rather them raise the price and keep the same quantity and quality, as opposed to shaving off the volume and taking away from the original recipe. Luckily for me, though, I cook more meals and eat less junk, albeit I do still consider chocolate and potato chips to be healthy, within reason.
