I personally haven't, but know several who have done so. They didn't just suddenly become vegans..first they went on the master cleanse to "detoxify" their body and shed a few pounds. They all said they had a different outlook on food..something to do with the fact that they realized they no longer were dependent on it. Anyways, they transitioned into it, eating no meat, etc/ processed foods...hope this helped I would suggest going on some type of fast before, just so that you're positive you can handle it.
I understand fully the reasons why your friends have tried it. I only want to eat for health now, nothing else. I stopped eating meat a few months ago. Then I started organic and mostly raw. I haven't gone all the way. One step at a time.
I will attempt this as well Hearing other people transition helps me to be motivated.. I'm going to post some simple raw food recipes on here as well as advice/coping techniques. Hope you can follow me!
