Fruit Infusion Bottles and Pitchers
Nutritional And Saves Money Making Fruit Water At Home!
I have loved vitamin water for so long I cannot remember when I started buying it. All this time I do not know why I didn't discover the Fruit Infusion idea before now. The process is so simple and you can keep the fruit in the pitcher for several refills. So you are going to continue to get amazing flavored and naturally nutritious water for several refills.
You can put the fruit in the blender later for a smoothie or mix with your favorite jello mold. I believe at one time I was buying about two dozen of the pre-bottled vitamin waters.
II was drinking at least one a day when I could. I would try to buy them when they were on special (to save money) but, most of the time they were on average 89 cents each bottle.
The home made infusion water is not only a lot better for price it is absolutely a better nutritional value. When you use your own fresh ingredients you are already healthier. You are going to love the natural flavors, nutritional, and the cost savings as well.
If you love fruit waters (also known as vitamin water) you are going to love this page as it will show you how to Save Money, create your own flavor combinations, and have a Healthier Refreshment!
My Favorite Fruit and Fruit Mixes
What Fruits Would Work With This?
I think a few fresh strawberries and a sliced apple would make a wonderful fruit infused water beverage. I would love to learn a variety of fruit mixes to create great flavors for all year long. How about pineapple and mango?
Or lemon lime with a berry mix.
I really love vegetable drinks (green machine for example) so I'm now wondering if I can put a few broccoli pieces in an infuser!
Now my imagination is taking off. I think anything with a good juice content is going to work really well. Watermelon sounds amazing for a summer outing.
The best way to discover your favorite fruit water is:
- Walk through the Farmer's Market,
- Remember what flavors you normally buy of manufactured processed vitamin waters, and
- Surf the web to find out what is in season in your region.
Infusion Recipe Ideas
I have some great ideas for the fruit infusion bottles and pitchers aside from fruit water.
For Sparkling Fruit Mixes:
My Favorite Flavors:
- Ginger Ale with Strawberries.
- 7up and peaches
- Coke and Cherries (long time favorite)
- Cream Soda with Cherries
- Green Tea with Blackberries
For Tea Fruit Mixes:
- Start by making your fruit infusion in the pitcher. Set Aside.
- Next: Brew your tea as you normally would but a little bit stronger. Reduce the usual amount of liquid you use by 1/3.
Example. I usually brew one cup of water for each tea bag. For the Fruit Infusion I would use 2/3 cup of water instead of a full cup.
Mix Together:
You now have tea and fruit infusion. Combine them.
- Mix together 1/2 fruit infusion water and 1/2 brewed tea.
Adjust the mixture ratio to taste.
Bottles are great to carry along with you or for relaxing on the back porch.
It is great to have a pitcher of fruit infused water waiting for you in the refrigerator on a hot day. Also, the pitcher is easy to refill so you can keep it full in-between servings.
- If you are on the go you can carry along a bottle and refill it as the day rolls on.
- Take a bottle with you to the beach, the pool, or on your commute to work.
- The bottles are a great way to introduce kids to the fruit infused flavors as well.
Don't forget these make great gifts for your family and friends.
Just about anywhere you go especially for day trips, to work or the market, carry along a bottle. Bring an extra one so you can enjoy farmer's market finds right away. Just fill with cold water and add the fruit when you find it.
