George Foreman Grill Review
Gifts for the Grill Master in Your Family
When it comes to making indoor grills, the George Foreman wins hands down every time for me. My first George Foreman grill was given to me by my son about ten years ago and I still use it to this day. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the plates are not removable and I find cleaning it a bit of a chore.
The good news is that the grill that you see on the right is a George Foreman GRP4 Next Grilleration 5 Burger Grill, and it comes with removable, easy to clean grilling plates. The grilling plates can be put in the dishwasher, but I find that with a bit of soap and water they're just as easy to clean by hand.
Yes, I now own not one but two Foreman grills. They both get used at the same time when I have a large crowd for dinner. The plates on the older grill have started to age but the grill still works and I hate to throw something away that I can still get use out of.
Cooking Healthy With George
The main reason I wanted one of these grills in the first place was that I liked the fact that the fat drained easily into drip pans as the meat cooks. For the health conscious cooking on a Foreman Grill is far better than frying something in a pan.
Things I Cook on My George Foreman Grill
Grilling vegetables taste wonderful with a little olive oil and seasoning. They are fast and easy to make and many times I'll throw some shrimp onto the grill a few minutes before the vegetables are done.
Meats such as; burgers, boneless chicken breasts, steaks, pork chops, and lamb chops, are great grilled.
Rather than making fries in a deep fryer I like making mine on the grill. Simply cut up a few potatoes, toss with a bit of cooking oil of your choice, along with some seasonings and place on the grill until cooked.
