Nigella Lawson
Something Smells Good
If a goddess walked the earth today I am more than positive she would look like Nigella Lawson. Tall, curvaceous, long black hair, creamy skin, a British accent and totally charming.
Ten years ago, someone like Nigella would not have graced the regional television screens, never mind internationally. She is full figured, she is forty-eight, she is a mother of two and she is a successful business woman. And women and men adore her.
Nigella, whose name means "love-in-a-mist", started out as a freelance food writer in the U.K. In 1998 she published, How to Eat: The pleasures and principles of good food. The successful book led to her equally successful television series, Nigella Bites where she cooked up a storm. Numerous books and television shows followed.
Although the face of television has been slow to change it is nice to see it is improving. It could not have picked a better face, personality or talented chef to start off with.

Choco Hot Pots
I finally got around to trying Nigella Lawson's recipe for Choco Hot Pots and I have to agree they are totally yummy. The picture to the right is my attempt.
I baked them in six smaller ramekins than was recommended as the recipe is quite rich. I highly recommend you do the same as I can not imagine eating a larger serving. A side of milk is definitely in order no matter what size you choose.
You can find Nigella's description of Choco Hot Pots in the videos below.

"I am not a chef. I am not even a trained or professional cook. My qualification is as an eater."
One of the Most Beautiful People in the World
No kidding...
I first saw Nigella when she appeared on a cooking segment of a daytime talk show a number of years ago. I was instantly captured by her charm and natural beauty.
In my opinion, she is one of the most beautiful people in the world. Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks so. Harpers and Queen magazine voted her one of most beautiful people in the world on their list, not once but twice. She shared top standing with the likes of Angelina Jolie, Uma Thurman, Kate Moss, Beyonce Knowles, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Liv Tyler and Gwen Stefani; just to name a few.
It is no wonder, she does possess a goddess like quality to her... if goddesses walked the earth today.
